Located between the forests of Viljandi and Võru counties in Estonia, Vincom OÜ is a rapidly growing and developing component factory that is part of the Combiwood Group. The company primarily focuses on the production of pine and spruce finger-jointed and laminated components.

More than 11 years ago, a factory was established that has since become one of the most prominent players in the Estonian woodworking industry. Growth and development

In its early years, the company concentrated on the local market, but it soon proved that its quality and reliability met the expectations of international clients. The integration with Combimill Sakala sawmill and investments in intelligent manufacturing solutions have given Vincom a significant competitive advantage.

In 2024, Vincom joined forces with another member of our group, Combilink, opening up new possibilities for product development and technical capabilities. Together, they can offer an expanded product range and elevate production processes to a new level.

Sustainability – We prefer local

Vincom’s manufacturing processes are based on the principles of responsible forestry, primarily using locally sourced, certified timber from Estonia. Collaboration with Combimill Sakala sawmill significantly reduces the environmental impact from factory-to-factory transportation, improving both the efficiency and sustainability of production processes. “Our goal is to provide quality that meets international standards while maintaining an environmentally conscious production,” emphasizes Janek Laisaar, the factory manager of Vincom.

Production at Vincom – How a glued wooden component is made?

Everything starts with the raw material – FSC- and PEFC-certified pine and spruce, which are processed with great precision. Logs are cut into dimensioned lumber on a band saw line, sorted by cross-section and quality, and then dried to the desired final moisture content.

The dried material moves to the calibration and optimisation phase, where it is adjusted to meet predefined quality requirements. Finger joint presses are used to bond these wood strips into durable, stable components. “Our production lines, equipped with state-of-the-art automation, ensure that the quality of our products consistently meets customer expectations,” states the factory manager.

In the next stage, the finger-jointed strips are planed to achieve precise dimensions. They are then laminated layer by layer using high-quality glue. The gluing process is tailored to the specifications of the client’s products, ensuring the longevity and mechanical strength of the products. After finishing and quality control, the products are carefully packaged to ensure safe transport to customers.
